APi Systems Group delivers cost effective and timely life safety, detection and monitoring system solutions for major petroleum based clients. APi Systems Group has strategic service agreements with companies for assessment and maintenance of life safety, detection and monitoring systems. They provide security systems and alarm and detection systems at several refineries.

Life Safety, Fire and Gas, Security Systems

APi Systems Group can provide the following products and systems:

• Fire/Gas Detection: visual smoke detection, flame imaging detection, CCTV digital-optical and multi-spectrum fire detection, LEL/UEL gas detection, conventional detectors
• Fire and Gas Alarm Notification: life safety systems, PLC and controller based systems, surge protection
• Fire Protection and Suppression: explosion protection, water mist and deluge systems, wet/dry sprinkler systems, kitchen hood systems, vehicle and marine systems
• Halon and Clean Agents: complete Halon service, FM-200®, CO2 Systems, Foam, FE-13, Argonite and Inergen

Turnkey Systems Integration Solutions

As well as supplying stand-alone products a key aspect of APi Systems Group operations is the provision of complete turnkey systems integration. APi Systems Group solutions address the need for high-speed information integration, real-time management and critical response to problem events. Their complete expertise in integrated controls and automation for fire and gas detection, alarm, special hazards, building and process security and suppression systems make them a total solution provider capable of designing and installing some of the most advanced technologies available.

Halon Banking

Halon Banking Systems (HBS) is a division of APi Systems Group that is a fully licensed repository for the handling and storage of Halon 1301 and Halon 1211. EPA certified, HBS provides the following services to commercial, industrial, petrochemical/oil and gas, manufacturing and maritime industries:

• Buy/Sell HBS buys and sells both Halon 1301 and 1211 in bulk or in refills
• Refill/Recharge Through its network of affiliates, it is capable of providing refill service in various locations; existing system cylinders can be removed, inspected, verified that material integrity is to code, refilled and re-installed.
• Reclaiming All Halon is secured to ASTM standards to prevent accidental release to atmosphere.
• Recycling After reclaiming the Halon, HBS recycles it to both ASTM standards and the requirements of the end user.
• Banking Custom banking and inventory management programs are available.
• Destruction Full disposition is conducted within strict compliance with EPA guidelines.

APi Systems Group and HBS are experienced in the engineering and installation of the various 'clean agents' and 'drop-in' replacements for Halon, such as FM-200®, Inergen and Fe-13

HBS is committed to 'responsible Halon management' and stringently complies with the US Environmental Protection Agency's Guidance for the EPA Halon Emission Reduction Rule (40 CFR Part 82, Subpart H). All work is conducted in strict accordance with the Montreal Protocol Treaty and the U.S. Clean Air Act as amended in 1990.

APi Systems Group also offers a full range of design/engineering capabilities with NICET level IV and fire protection engineering certified personnel. With their extensive background in platform refineries and process plant experience, API Systems Group has the capability of delivering life safety and integrated solutions for any project.
